I needed a new battery 2 weeks ago when the NAPA Legend 75 in my '96 900SE died. After pricing the orange top @ $145, I got smart and took my battery back to NAPA. Turns out the battery was just over 2 years old, so they pro-rated a new one @ $30 for me. It has more CAs and CCAs than the stock spec'ed out, and after replacing the neg. cable and puting on new terminal ends the car finally starts after 2 cranks ( I had tried replacing the fuel filter and FPR to fix this problem but no dice)
Unless you're running a high end stereo, why spend so much on a battery when the decent ones (@ $60-$80) have pretty long warranties? It's just a battery after all; you're not getting any more performance because of it.
