I'm tired of hearing about everyones V6 money pits. If you wanted a cheap repair bill, buy a chevy cavalier. Anyway, I read alot of the posts dealing with the 2.5 engine and the problems associated with it. One of them in particular bothered me. It basically says how a mechanic says the the engine will reach 175,000 if properly maintained. I haven't ever heard of a 2.5 ever reaching over 150k. My question is what happens after 175,000? Will the engine just quit somewhere around the 160-200k range? I can't see why one with regular maintence won't run longer. I think its bunk that cheap old Accord DX's have 375,000 miles on their engines and a $27,000 saab (brand new in 94*) won't get half that.
