Hi Batman (wow, I never thought I'd say that :-) ... ),

If you're speed-shifting at high rpms (ie, the system's dumping huge volumes of air), then you may get a slight benefit from a BOV. But the difference is probably only measurable with a stopwatch.

As far as the Bosch valve goes, Saab's picked a valve which prevents lag as long as it's working properly. It's not the "back on throttle" action that you're looking for, it's quick "off throttle to shift" action that prevents boost back pressure & turbo lag. If your valve leaks, then yes, a new valve will work better than the damaged one.

And yes, if you're going to add an MBC, you'll probably want a piston-style DV to stand up to the new pressures. Just don't expect any hp increase from this part.

Your link shows the Stratmosphere DV, not the Forge. Stratmosphere's Hyperboost is quite a bit larger than Forge's 007/DVR series, so it may be a tight fit in some Saab engines (& the "fins" may rub holes into any hoses they're against). Forge's DVS007P is designed with a shorter side port specifically for Saab fitments. I like the fact that Forge designs & builds their own valves. It allows them to fine-tune the spring for each application, & they even offer a complete spring kit for DIY valve tuning.
