(almost) Fully Functioning Climate Control

My Climate Control system works perfectly (almost). When I first start the car, the display switches from degrees (ie. 80 F) to numbers (1 through 7 or so). This soon goes away after about three seconds. When driving, I can force the display change to happen by rolling down the windows. I think it is related to a power draw from the Climate Control module, but I don't know what to do about it.
Recently a redundant ground was added to the PCM and the air mass meter. Could this be near the ground point for the ACC computer?
