in my '96 9000 Aero, boost was only halfway through yellow, wouldn't go higher. Spark plugs were ok, hoses ok, BPC boost pressure controler was flaky. We would install a new one, car would be a real rocket for 2 days (boosting into red, oh my god I will never forget this!!!!) and then the BPC would fry. It turned out the TRIONIC engine computer was sending unusual current to the BPC. 2500$ and 2 weeks later, the car was running like a good SAAB should. Hope this won't be your case!
