Do you need to replace the whole heat exchange, or just the o-rings? I was actually browsing through that section of the manual last night, it looks pretty easy, if not a bit cramped and messy. Are you talking about the heat exchanger in between the "V" of the engine (which could be more difficult), or the oil cooler that I think is below the radiator (pardon my ignorance if I'm mistaken about the terms)? Tighten up all the coolant line hoses, that's a known leak point, if you drain the coolant why not replace the hoses while you're at it, and the clamps too. check out eeuroparts.com, they have good blow-up diagrams of the various systems and you can pick and choose which parts you need, e/g, I need these o-rings but not that tube, etc.. Replace the intake plenum gaskets if you take that off, they're cheap like $5, paper gaskets.
Once you've done it, please post the procedure, and tips/problems encountered.
