It is 22mm diameter and really helps the handling. The SAS bar is yellow Zinc Chromate coated and comes with new mounting hardware.
Taliaferro Saab (http://www.geniuesaab.com) also offers the rear sway bar in both 22mm and 18mm diameters. The 22mm seems to be the choice for the stock suspension and the 18mm is better with lowered suspensions. The Taliaferro sway bars are powder paint coated and come with new hardware.
Either the SAS or Taliaferro are good units.
You will probably also want to look at the KIC steering rack clamp and brace (http://www.geniunesaab.com) or the MPPerformance (http://www.mpperformance.com) steering rack clamp and brace as the next step.
