900/93 and 9000 is easier to tune than the Trionic 7. Therefore up to '98 is a good choice. On the other hand, '94 and '95 900's still had some "teething" problems as it was a completely new model from the "classic" 900's.

Having said that, the Viggen came out in '98 and is very quick. It is a T-7 engine management system -- less tunable, but tunable none-the-less.

My '97 Talladega is a 2.0 liter which came with 185 hp from the factory. I've since dyno'd it and confirmed it to be 230fwhp, 263 lb/ft of torque. Here's what I've done to it:

Saab stainless 2.5" sport exhaust
Abbott Racing Motorsports ECU
Abbott Racing lowering springs
Abbott Racing "Viggen Rescue Kit" -- basically a lower brace bar, billet aluminum steering rack bracket and steel brace from the steering bracket to the right wheelwhell
Viggen Intercooler

It came with the SuperAero 5 lug wheels and I just recently mounted Pirelli PZero Nero (205-50/16's) on them.

I do have a 2.3 liter block, crank and pistons and will someday do a build on that engine, but for now the 2.0 is doing well. That will be a slow project over time...

Here's a pic:

Good luck! I know you'll have fun with whatever you find!
