Suggestions.
In the coming weeks we need to get back on track and have regular club meetings. We certainly need to conduct club business, but I also want this to be fun and a way to talk Saabs, see what new modifications people have done, and generally just enjoy each other's company. So to that end I ask who, when, where?
Who can come? All club members to can come, please do so. This is YOUR club.
When? Well this is open to discussion. We all have lives outside Saab --work, family, and of course, kids sports events and what-not. We can't accommodate all every time, but if you can make it, please come. If you can't one week, there' always the next time. That having been said, what is best? I'm thinking like a first Saturday or Sunday. But if I can get a majority consensus, let's hear it.
Where? This perphaps is tougher. As much as I'd like everyone to come to me, I know that's nearly impossible -- I'm in proverbial "God's Country": Culpeper, Va. D.C. area is pretty big geographically, but I'd like to find a place that's fairly central, that's fun, that can accommodate what potentially could be a LOT of Saabs, but is also friendly to car clubs. There are plenty of Hot-Rod and Muscle Car clubs out there, surely there's a venue for us. The next question is do we keep it to a central location (my personal preference...), or do we open it up to a rotation of some sort? Again, let's hear your thoughts here.
And a final note, I'll be recieving the membership list (I've got most, but am catching up...) from Mike and will be sending notes out shortly. If any of you need to reach me, just click on my TSN handle (Talladega900) and you'll be able to email me. TSN won't allow me to post my address directly, but if you send me a note, my reply will come as soon as I'm on line. I do travel pretty regularly, but check messages whenever I can.
Keep safe, and Keep Saabing!
