Well, supposedly we have just over 100 members in this club. Where the heck are they?
It had been way too long, so I felt we needed a club meeting, and by the reaction it sounded like many agreed. However, besides myself, only two showed.
And while I do appreciate Frank and Randy's dedication, it's a bit disappointing to me when no one else shows.
C'mon people. This is YOUR club. The few who make the time to come to club meetings can't do it all. If you want events to go well--or even HAVE events, you need to put some time in. All it takes is an hour out of a month to come to a meeting.
If you don't want to come to a meeting, if you don't want events, then I see no reason to continue this endeavor, and that would be a shame. It isn't just about the cars, the tuning, the preservation of these vehicles, it's also about the friendship, commeraderie, and even the assistance you may find from your fellow club members.
I had a line-up of events I was going to propose to the club for 2007, but as of this moment, only two others know what they are. Should I let sleeping dogs lie and just forget about the whole thing? Or is there interest and should I post them?
Again, this is YOUR club, not mine. Let me hear from you. I welcome a response.
Jim Miller, WASSAAB
