negotiations.... Hmmmm, I'd then call the Better Business Bureau. It should be known that HVS and International are affiliated in some way -- not the same owner, but same family or something? Not sure.

Anyway, I've had both good and bad experiences with International. Bought the Talladega from them in '97 and the rep treated my wife like crap. Me, being blind due to the dazzle of getting a new car after 10 years, didn't pick it up until after the fact.

Then, when I optioned the Saab Sport Exhaust ($350 option), all they did was bolt on the chrome tip on the original exhaust, but still charged me $350 for the $50 dollar part. (I did get my money back on that...)

I wound up buying the exhaust from Sports Car Service (yet another family affiliated business, but hey, waddya gonna do?)

On the good side of the coin, we came back to IM to purchase our '02 Aero. I was adamant about NOT going back, however no manual Aero Wagons were to be found. We took the chance with them after exhausting all other options, and were very pleasantly surprised with the attention to detail, service and delivery. Completely different sales rep this time.

So I guess it goes to show that sometimes it's the rep, sometimes it's the sales manager and the atmosphere that manager encourages in the showroom. Whatever the effect, Saab can't afford to piss potential buyers off, regardless of whether the car was new or used. A satisfied used car buyer could be cultivated for return business for a new car sale...

'Nuff rambling. I hope things work out for you both!
