looking for in performance, and how much are you willing to spend to get there are the key decissions to make. Mike Connolly of West Virginia has a '97 900S pumping a claimed 270+ hp. No where near the torque a turbo has mind you, but the power is there to tap. Mike shaved the cylinder head to raise the compression ratio, custom cams and gas flowed the intake ports.

On the other hand, plenty of people have converted to a "low pressure" turbo on normally aspirated classic 900's. No reason not to try on a "New Gen" normally aspirated. Give Eric Heyse a shout at Viking Automotive and ask about his 900S notch-back.
