After I completely hand waxed my 9-3 (Turtle wax) I noticed a few white spots on the bumpers. I took a small hand brush (the one you clean your hand and fingernails with) putted a little handsoap (Sunlight if you want to know) on it and gently rubbed it of. A bit af water afterwards et voilà.
So forget peanut oil and all that stuff, just a brush, soap and the spots are gone (at least on my car)
So good luck
