My car was in bad shape. Parked outside everyday, driven into the city and parked outside as well. I had differnet wax products (buildup) from years gone by. I'm a Zaino user and always will be from now on. I know there are products out there that are better, but I'm used to using it now. If you notice, I did not use Dawn when I started to apply Zaino. Dawn will not take Zaino off. I have zaino car wash, but it is not strong enough to get rid of any clay that might have been left behind, or any 3M swirl remover. The clay and swirl remover removes product bulid up, contamination and a little paint of course. The Z5 and Z2 are products that you want to leave on the car. The method I used was given to me by Sal Zaino when I talked with him and told him what shape my car was in. I followed it step for step. My car looks about 500 times better. It was a lot of work. Claying took about 3 hours because it had never been done before. I also have a couple other cars that I use zaino as well. Plenty of practice now, but I'm no expert. I learned from this board and the internet, and practice. I'm kind of anal. My neighbor walked by and asked me the second day into it "How many times was I going wash my car".
Happy saabing
