That looks like a good deal. I have a couple of those orange pads, and they work great. I have four pads total, but I could get by with two or three. I have three orange ones for two types of polish and rubbing compound, and then a red Griot's Garage pad for wax. Don't apply the polish by hand. Any type of polish is much more effective when applied with a machine, and that's really the whole point of having one. I haven't actually used the machine for wax because applying a paste wax (which I prefer) by hand isn't hard at all, and it's easier to get into the crevices by hand, but if you like liquid waxes, the machine's the way to go. If you want to remove polish or wax with the Porter-Cable, you'll need polish and wax removal bonnets, because the pads won't do it. Griot's Garage sells them, and Proper Auto Care may sell them too.
