There appear to be two 3M Marine Vinyl cleaners.
3M™ Marine Vinyl Cleaner and Restorer 09029, 15 fl. oz.:
"Cleans, shines, conditions and protects vinyl, rubber and plastic surfaces. Deep cleans dirt and grime, enhances appearance. Restores natural sheen, protects surfaces. Fresh lemon scent."
3M™ Marine Outdoor Vinyl Cleaner, Conditioner and Protector 09023, 8 oz.:
"Unique gel formula provides durable protection in exterior, as well as interior applications. Gel formula gives you better application control than liquids. A little bit goes a long way."
Both can be found at Walmart and Marine/Boating supply stores.
I have used the 3M™ Marine Vinyl Cleaner and Restorer 09029, 15 fl. oz. spray liquid on the exterior plastic trim for my 1998 900SET and it works great. Nice matte black finish, and lasts for several weeks even through all the rain and road spray. The product is easy to apply and wipe off. I did have to use a moderately stiff brush to "massage" the product into black plastic rocker panel trim under the doors and into the mudflaps, for the first application. Since then, the product has been applied with a sponge or terry cloth towel, and wiped/buffed to a shine. Nice and easy!
Anyone else has experience with these products?
