3M IHG, like all glazes, are not last step products. They're used just before applying wax as a beauty step. Glazes are comprised mostly of fillers and oils. Their only purpose is to fill and hide light swirls and other minor defects, creating the appearance of perfect paint. They offer no protection so they must be topped with wax.

Zaino Z5 is a completely different animal. Its designed to fill very light swirls and defects using multiple coats of product. It provides almost the same level of protection and gloss as Z2. It can be used as a last step product which is how I use it. Personally I prefer Z5 on dark colored cars. I use Z2 on light colors and metallics as it seems to give it more pop.

Do not use any glaze in conjunction with Zaino. The oils in the glaze will only prevent the Zaino from bonding which defeats one of its benefits. They key to getting Z2 or Z5 looking great is proper surface prep. Correctly polishing paint instead of relying on "makeup" products like glaze will ensure the results from Zaino you desire.

If you like the glaze and wax combo, that's fine but its not compatible with the Zaino process so you've got to decide which products/process/results you prefer best.
