The dealer should replace this under warranty. This has been a problem on Saabs for years. I used to have 86' 900 and it had the same problem. I have a 94 NG900 S and it has the problem starting to happen. I also have a 2000 9-3 SE and has not happened yet. But your dealer should replace with no questions asked especially if you have a new 9-3 SS. Check with your dealer befor you replace yourself.
