So we've discussed in this thread removing your badges completely (for whatever reason) or up-badging your car (say, putting Aero on a 9000CS), but what I really like is the opposite. I read a web page once about a guy in Germany with an E34 BMW M5 wagon who took off all the M-exterior bits and badges, went to base 16" wheels, and badged his car as a 518i (which you could get in Germany at the time). That'd be something interesting to be blown away by on the 'bahn in your 540i!
Myself, I'm going to take off the "turbo" badge on my grille, but leave the butt alone. So few people know what "9000 Aero" means that I'm content to leave it there. No 2.3 turbo badge on the back though.
