I don't often look on this board, but the best answer in terms of relative ease, cost, and longevity of the fix is a can of Wurth's flexible black trim paint. Comes in a spray can, and can be obtained from site sponsors. I got mine from eEuroparts.com. Around $17. Add to that a roll of plastic (to protect the parts of the car you don't intend to paint), some blue painter's tape, and maybe a little newspaper and you are ready to go. Common sense for the rest (dry day, no wind, short strokes/burts when applying, etc.). My 1997 9000CS went from gray on the bottom back to the original black color. Least costly investment I've made in my 9000, but the most visually appealing one. BWD.
