I tried one of those found on TV, the Ding King and it was able to pull dents out the size you describe. On very small dents, it seems to be more work to pull them out satisfactory. The included instructions do say that it may take up to ten times to pull the dent out completely. I have found door dings are easy to pull out while dents on the hood from rocks, etc. take more time to pull out. I would say overall, about 80-90% of the dents overall look can be taken care of with the Ding King with a little time and effort on your part.
