Nah, its a common symptom. Most of the time streaking is caused by weather issues, usually high humidity where the solvents in the wax take forever to dissipate. Some products have a lot of oils in them, making them finicky, and can make the paint look a bit smeary. And other times its simply a case of too much product being applied.
What's worked for me is to spray water onto the paint and wipe off with a clean towel. The water "flash cures" the wax and removes the streaks. A light application of detail spray will do the same thing as well as a rinse from a hose.
Don't be afraid to experiment with different waxes (if you have them) and different application techniques; apply and remove immediately, or apply and let it set up for 10 mins or more, then remove. Some fussy waxes have their own little usage "ticks" and you need to uncover them to get the best results.
Good luck!
