7 year old Gold minivan

I had a thread below about a silver colored 9-5 Aero.
I'm now waiting for the Klasse twins to arrive this week. I also have a 7 year old, gold colored, Chrysler Town & Country minivan. It's the wife's car and once she sees me working on my car, there will be the inevitable "Honey, after you're done with your car, can you...." ;)
I'll try to describe the paint condition as well as I can.
Like I said, it's 7 years old paint. I've only waxed it twice in the past two years I've owned it. The paint doesn't seem faded, nor does it have deep scratches. But part of it is the gold color which doesn't seem to show the dirt or paint imperfections.
I still think it wouldn't hurt to give it a polish before the twins treatment. Any recommendations? It's a lot of surface to polish so I may use it as an excuse to buy the PC polisher. :D
However, wifey may balk at the purchase since I've dropped a pretty penny on the above shipment. Boy, reading this bb is murdering me in my wallet. Microfiber towels, wheel brushes, Klasse twins, etc.
Anyway, enough rambling. Cutting to the chase, since I may have to hand apply, what would be a good polish that's flexible enough to hand polish as well as machine polish? Is the Klasse AIO good enough so that I don't have to purchase a separate polish (I'm assuming that the answer is no).
