Hmmm.... tough one to say. Megs #7 seems to me more oil-rich than most other glazes so I wonder if its that particular glaze that's causing the problems. I think the reason it worked OK with the rotary is due to the additional heat generated by the circular motion. Since you don't get anywhere near the same heat generated with the PC, products will react differently.
Have you used the glaze recently with the rotary without problems? How old is the bottle of glaze? Did it freeze over the winter? I'm thinking it might be the product but it's just a guess.
#7 can be difficult to use sometimes as I'm sure you know. Maybe this is one combo that it doesn't like (PC + 9006 pad). You might want to experiment with different speeds or pads to see if things improve. If you have other glazes, try them and see if the problem is the same.
I'm sorry I can't offer more definitive advice. There are a lot of variables here but it's hard to know which one will solve the problem without some experimentation.
