I have been using NXT pretty much exclusively now. On my black 9-3 nothing really beats it for effort/result ratio. However NXT wears off in really fast.
I usually do 2 coats of NXT just to be thoruogh, but it was my understanding that it is not an acrylic finish and consecutive coats will not layer. Is this true? If its not, I am putting 40 coats of NXT on my car tommorrow =).
I purchased Liquid Glass because I read that it was a very durable finish which you could layer on for more shine. I regretted buying it about 5 minutes into the polishing stage. The polish and wax do not come off easy by hand. There is always something left. It left brownish streaks on the black finish which were really hard to get out, requiring a wet rag and some buffing. All and all, about 3 times the effort of NXT, and the shine wasn't as nice actually. The nail in the coffin for me on LG was the 6 hour curing time between coats. I only did one coat and gave up. I did not have the required 4 10 hour periods it would have taken to get the shine I was looking for.
If more than 2 coats of NXT will stack up and last longer, then I am throwing away the 18 or so different waxes I own and just buying NXT.
