Engine Bay detail tip

For those of us that still like the factory look of the engine I found a neat way to clear it up a bit. Maybe others have done this but I'm not sure because I haven't searched it here.
I live in AZ and while I don't need to wash the Aero every week I do like to dust it off to keep the shine up. The dust is everywhere in the desert which is no surprise. The dust also gets into the engine bay and seems to collect mostly on the hood pad. It gets dusty pretty quickly. I have seen lots of nicely detailed Aeros and other SAABs and it seems that many removed the hood pad. I'm not ready to do that just yet.
I found that using some compressed air and a "dust buster" hand vacuum, I was able to clean up that dusty brown looking hood pad quite well. I just blew the dust away and and ran a vacuum over the pad while in the car and now it looks much better--almost like black velvet. So a little dusting and vacuuming in the engine bay helped my stock looking engine look a lot better. I even brushed it after all the vacuuming and air blowing and it looks tons better to me. I hope others will not not just throw it away (unless they want to) but clean it up a bit and add an additonal clean touch to the factory looking engine.
