try clay first. If it does not work, try a Mr Clean Magic Eraser on an inconspicuous spot. I just used one to take the paint overspray off the side trays on my weber after it had been painted. These things work great and seem to cause little harm to the original surface. They are great on the door panels and leather seats also.
