(1) You can try another application of Zymol which will remove a little more oxidation and staining. The cleaning ability in that product is pretty mild and not the best product for the job, but at least you won't have to buy something else to use.
(2) There are a few cleaner waxes with more aggressive cleaning ability. Best one I know of is made by 3M. It called Cleaner Wax for Medium Oxidation. Has more bite than the stuff you're using. The few people I know who've used it really like it. I think you can find it at your local NAPA auto parts store.
(3) Frankly the best product to use is a dedicated paint cleaner. For a neglected non-clearcoated paint job I recommend a Fine Cut cleaner. Both Meguiar's and 3M make excellent fine cut cleaners. Follow up with your Zymol and the paint should look pretty darned good.
The 3 stage systems are fine for cars in good condition but the pre-wax cleaners in those packages are pretty mild. It may be a waste of $$ for your car.
Where to get an orbital buffer? Depends on how serious you want to get. Sears sells them. You can find small ones at most auto parts stores like Pep Boys. But the real serious enthusiasts kick down the real serious $$ for the Porter Cable 7424. With enough pads to do the job properly you're looking at a $200 investment. Have a look at these tools at the link I provided.
Hope all this helps. LMK if you've got more questions.
