hi,

if you are talking about the facia trim, the stuff that starts around the headlight switch and vent on the left and goes all the way to around the radio on the right (and often has a chrome edge on it).... read on.

I found a super glue that stated it was more of a gel and was thick and did not run. you need that. I also got a roll of the blue 3m tape.

do a prep like they do in the emergency room of pieces of the blue tape torn off the roll about four inches or so, fold the last 1/2 inch back so there is a tab. enough so that you can cover all of the facia you need to repair (if you are doing 12 inches, then do 12/width of the tape. the *width*, not the length of the strip), and tape the end of them on the right side of the dash hanging down and ready for use. very important as you will *not* have time to tear them during the next step.

starting at the portion of the facia that is still attached, apply the thick super glue on the sticky back of the facia/trim and stick to the face of the dash, do sections about the width of the blue tape, as you finish glueing a section take a piece of the prepped tape and *start applying the tape at the OUTSIDE of the circle of the facia* and **end with the tab at the INSIDE of the circle**.

[[for example, let's say you are working on the facia above the speedo. place the tape on the top of the dash and continue over the facia and end with the tab wrapped under and ending near the plastic over the speedo. "why are we doing it this way?" 24 hours later, you get to grab the tab and *gently* remove from the inside of the facia circle to the *outside* and as you pass the facia glue area you can put a finger on one side of the tape to help assure that you are not trying to pull the facia away from the plastic behind it. Try it and you'll see the method behind the madness!]]

continue as necessary to completely reattach all of the facia. Let it be for 24 hours, or more if you can. Then peel the tape off as above.
