Your rear end is making the seats shiny :) Really, any piece of leather will develop a patina (shine) over time with handing, wearing or sitting on it. But a good deal of that shine is dirt that accumulates naturally like skin oil, wax from fabric softener, etc.
JG is right on, if you use Lexol cleaner and conditioner, it will give your seats a more uniform satin-like shine. All of the shine might might not go away, but they'll look a lot better. I've used it on several cars with great results.
