Over time the chamois texture will marr the wax base. For best results I use a California Water Blade (looks like a rubber squeegie) to remove all the excess water (work from the top down), followed by a clean, soft cloth cloth towel. Also keep in mind that when you hose the soap off the car, and all the soap is off, take the nozzle off the hose, and run just the hose over the entire car to allow the water to sheet off the car. This will leave less water beads, which are the main cause of waterspots. Also try and wash the car when the paint is cool, away from the sun. When water is on the finish (especially hard water) and it is hit by the sun, you will get very bad water spots. Hope that helps.
