The 13-year old glass on my 9000 was in bad shape. I tried Stoner's Invisible Glass, which didn't touch the problem. Neither did Bon Ami with lots of elbow grease. Neither did vinegar no matter how long the glass was exposed to it. I didn't want to try the really abrasive stuff like Comet or 0000 steel wool.
What worked very well and quickly was a product called Nu-Glass #755 made by Duragloss. Product link: http://www.duragloss.com/product.asp?pid=303
The 8 ounce bottle is far more than enough. Got mine at a NAPA store, and it is also available online. I paid less than $10.
I applied it by hand using a worn out scrubbing sponge (the abrasive side), the same sponge that had no effect with Bon Ami. I put a nickel-size blob of Nu-Glass on the sponge, then rubbed with a circular motion. There was friction at first which went away as the crud was removed from the glass. The Nu-Glass dried to a haze which I wiped off with a microfiber towel. One application was enough for my glass.
Nu-Glass contains Aliphatic hydrocarbons, but the label doesn't advise what precautions to take. I worked in a well ventilated garage with leather gloves and eye protection.
Some of it got on rubber and plastic trim, which I wiped off and then coated with 303 Aerospace Protectant. The trim looks ok, and the glass is spotless and unscratched.
