removing liquid spots on hood Posted by MontereyAero [Email] (#506) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MontereyAero) on Tue, 20 Aug 2013 20:59:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My 2001 9.5 SW, Nocturne Blue, has about two dozen pencil size or smaller round spots on the hood just in front of the wipers, at the very top edge of the hood. The spots look like a liquid splashed on the hood. Similar to hard water spots. They are smooth to the touch. I tired washing with detergent, clay bar, mineral spirits, Zaino car polish, Turtle mild rubbing compound. All I accomplished was to create a mess of tiny scratches in my four-layer Zaino finished shinny hood. Very frustrating! The car is 12 years old but the paint is only 36 months old and otherwise perfect.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
