Hi
I use the Griot's leather conditioner on my Saab seats at least once/month and have done so with my previous BMW's and Audi's - the leather stays supple and smells great - I do my leather chairs/couches as well (usually with Lexol) about four times/year and Griot's once/year because the smell is so good. We have outdoor dogs that love the leather couches and the treatment keeps them nearly perfect. Despite the tanning process, leather needs protection - natural (ie, living) skins would be contantly producing oil to lubricate the surface, and making new replacement cells!
Other leather care products that I have had good success with include Connolly Hyde Food - but it is lanolin (rendered sheep fat) based and gets a bit funky in the bottle after six months or so - not a problem with Griot's or Lexol
best,
eric
