Last ice storm here in Dallas struck just as we were coming back from the ClubRally National Championship in Salem MO (John Groo 2nd in Group 2 in a 900 and yours truely 3rd in Group 5 in a 900T) First I had driven the truck and trailer through snow and ice across northern Oklahoma and southern Missouri. Then sleet and freezing rain for the last 100 miles to the house. I had my choise of driving an Audi A6 Quattro or the rally car with real snow tires and chains. I stayed home. It was safer.
Circle track racing seems to work for a FWD car because you can't make it over steer too much. It is fun watching the Pintos try to power slide while Tom French drives around the corners. I try to get out and watch him at the local track every now and then.
