I've only had 50 series tires on my car, so I can't compare directly. Here are some of the pros and cons, generally speaking, of a lower profile tire. A lot of it depends on whether you are keeping the same rim size. If you are, then the sidewall height is going to stay the same, and the width of the tire will increase. If you are getting a larger rim to lower the profile, then the width will stay the same and the sidewall height will decrease. I am guessing you're going to do the former.
pro
-looks "cooler" (this is the reason most people go for, though they don't admit it)
-if increasing rim size, more lateral rigidity, typically will make cornering better
-if keeping same rim size, tires will be wider, better traction and stability
con
-costs more per tire
-if going to a larger size rim, ride is rougher
-if going to a larger size rim, higher chance of getting bent rim
