Was Saab right? I think everyone know what a huge hatchback fan I am. I'm sorry the new 9-3 had to come at the cost of the hatch, but Saab's sales numbers have bloomed. I've also visited one local dealer and emailed three others. They've not been this happy about selling Saabs in many years... They also uniformally told me that the new 9-3SS is drawing in a younger crowd... These cars aren't cheap either. I used to love the base model '99 9-3 you could get for $23,500. My sister is attempting to buy a 9-3SS Linear and is finding it hard to get a car for even $29K or for a lease under $350/mo. She had originally thought she would get a Vector, but that's totally out of the question. I guess if you can sell significantly more cars and at a significantly higher price... that's the right call. I'd love to do some analysis on 9-5 sedan sales to see if you can tell how much 9-3 sedans are cutting into it... but I've got more TSN server SSL work to do right now...;-)
