This is what I was also told by some of my Norwegian relatives. Interestingly, the diesel that the fishermen use is identical to the diesel used in cars (aside from the color) but is much much less expensive. Were it to cost the same, many fishermen would be out of business.

I see your point. I actually noticed more Volvos than SAABs. I am not saying that there are virtually none, just that there weren't as many as I expected. I actually saw some of the oldest SAABs and Volvos that I have ever seen (I'm not sure of the year/model...maybe I'll upload a photo)
