I know this is still at the bottom of the page, but just had to throw out another.
Co-worker just told me about his new Corvette (1996?), how it was a special model with stronger engine than his currently-for-sale other 1996? vette. Telling me how it's more powerful, has a 6-speed with OD, and proceeds to explain the concept of overdrive to me, like I'm not familar with it (this guy is really odd). I ask him what they call it to designate it from standard model. He says "Collector Edition". I say HUH?
Well, he's sticking to it.
I go out and look at the car today, sure enough, there are badges on all four sides saying "Collector Edition." On the console, there's a plaque telling everyone how much displacement, hp, torque, and compression ratio. I think the plaque also called it a LT-4?
My wife tells me how women think guys with Corvettes are losers. Anyone with a console plaque like that would certainly qualify for loser status.
Of course, when I hit the Powerball this weekend, I'll definitly give a Z06 a spin.
