Hey everyone,
I was inspecting my tires yesterday and found a little chunk taken out of one. It is in the sidewall but close to where the tread starts and it appears to be about 1/4 inch deep or less and maybe 1/4 inch across and about 1/2 inch long. It is on the front right tire and the car is a 93 9000 Aero and the tires are Yokohama AVS something or other
Should I be worried? HOw worried? The tires have about half their tread left. I am thinking that a possible solution might be to replace both fronts now with the same or similar new tires, leaving me with a set of 4 tires that will be almost good as new and a decent spare (the half-used front left that is undamaged) which I wouldn't mind having anyway. I drive long distances by myself a lot and would rather not just wait and see whether it is going to burst. What do you all think?
