I think they know what they are doing most of the time. They are however extremely busy, especially with the demise of Spreens. They are Saab only but not a huge facility like JMK. Their people are friendly and easy to deal with. I recently bought my wife's 9-5 there. The service manager John Plum is considered one of the better mechanics and I believe they have four Saab master technicians there.
I would suggest that you write down and print out in detail exactly what you want them to do. The more details you can write down, so much the better. Each time I go there, I put down my name, car license plate, VIN number, my address and contact phone number, then a list of things I want them to do in order of importance.
They also have loaner cars available, yes, even for people who didn't buy the cars there. However, you have to make the loaner request about 2 to 3 weeks in advance.
Their price is reasonable, close to some of the independent Saab mechanics around here in NJ.
Give them a try and see if you like them. If you try Parkfield, I would like to know what you think of them as I haven't heard much from that dealer.
