getting around, whether it's by auto, transit, bike or walk. Sadly the City of Vancouver's powers that be seem to think more and more traffic calming measures and #%&@ traffic lights will magically reduce traffic speeds and volumes. I drive and take transit and help work towards a more sustainable city, but just because when I'm driving my SAAB doesn't mean I must be relegated to "engineered" bumper-to-bumper crawling speeds (and spewing more emissions) because the City has wisely installed traffic lights at just about every single block within the City's road grid.
