The Saab USA infrastructure probably could not handle a much larger increase without damaging customer service capabilities. With all the new dealers and mechanics coming on line, it will take a little time for them to get anywhere near the experience that older Saab Techs have. Also, how do new dealers fair with older Saabs (pre 9-3 and 9-5)? The cost of training new techs and recurring traing for existing techs is high. Hopefully new and old dealers will continue to invest in this critical aspect of the business. With the 9-2 and 9-7 on the horizon, I suspect that some smaller dealers will have difficulty adapting to additional space and tech needs. Just a short rant as to why the existing exposure of Saab in the press is okay. Much more and we might regret the results. The fact that Saab is doing better when others are declining is a good omen.
