Since the main TSN email address is in so many thousands of email address books out there, I can usually tell when I new virus has hit the net very quickly since the main TSN mailbox starts to steadily receive attempts at infection. Currently, the new form of the blaster virus is depositing about 25 times more attempts at infection and possibly higher. This is happening all over the Internet causing a lot of traffic on the net to be completely dropped (packet loss). Here is a note from TSN's service provider for more info. Also, see the Internet Traffic Report site (linked below). The numbers for North America are usually in the 90's but were as low as 79 earlier with links to Australia down to 50.

This email is being sent out in mass, in response to network connectivity issues. Last night a virus was released on the internet that is causing major routing and connectivity problems across the entire internet. MegaPath's engineers are working on containing this on our network but performance and connectivity could be effected for a couple days as this is effecting all of the major internet providers in the country.
