all the blathering about nullrouting VeriSign. I beginning to suspect I don't really understand the side effect of doing so or a lot of people aren't making sense. Perhaps someone can set if straight if necessary. My how null routing really works. Perhaps someone can set me straight if necessary. I always thought it just went to network equivalent of the bit bucket (sort of a network /dev/null) and that there was not any side effects. If that is correct why would I want to send my own clients requests into a void? External connections you don't what sure but I don't get it for my own client. Wouldn't I also have mail with incorrect domains queing up on my system in this case because the loop back is a legitmate place to direct mail?
Regardless even if it works wouldn't be cleaner to intercept the DNS response since the IP is the devil and catch the rest otherwise?
