Wherever there's room, I use it. They're addictive for removing nuts & bolts.
The one caveat with powered impact wrenches is that you absolutely need sufficient room behind the tool when you're loosening parts. I was taking lower A-arm mounts off and sort of crunched my hand between the ground and the tool when the nut was 2/3 off. It really makes you apprediate hwo heavy the front of a SAAB is. (Doh! Live & learn.)
