Saabaru Roadster (Sonett ?) rumors

From EVO magazine (http://www.evo.co.uk/):

Subaru's Impreza Roadster
The excellence of Subaru's all-wheel-drive running gear has long made it a natural for underpinning a performance roadster. And finally Subaru has shown that it is thinking along these lines with the unveiling of the B9 roadster concept.
The most immediate impact this car will have is that it will donate its three-hole nose design to future Subaru models (starting with an SUV in 2005). Andreas Zapatinas, chief designer for Subaru advanced design, says that the 'three hole' look is inspired by both the company's aircraft heritage and its flat-four engines (the centre grille represents the crank, the long intakes the piston positions).
Sources say the B9 was drawn up by an independent Spanish consultancy led by ex-VW designer Erwin Himmel.
Will it happen? Officially, the B9 is strictly a concept, but the appeal of a roadster (with its lower centre of gravity) based on an Impreza chassis is obvious. It's possible that Subaru and Saab might use the chassis to underpin a global roadster in the next three to four years - indeed, at the Tokyo show Saab said its co-operation with Subaru will continue beyond the 9-2X.
It's also worth considering that the B9's hybrid power unit is the first concrete sign that there could well be a petrol-electric high-performance Impreza on sale later this decade.
