If the carpets seem dry -- and the mold has stained the carpets you may have a tough time getting the smell out and the stain out.
Best thing is to completely remove the carpets from the car (yes, I know its a pain). That's because its not just the carpets -- but the padding underneath that gets wet.
Also -- with the carpets out you have have a much better chance of cleaning them and the padding, too (although if you have to toss out the padding, that's not so expensive to replace).
And-- with all that dampness -- you want to check that any wires that might have gotten wet are ok and if there are any rust spots forming on the body that you clean and repaint them.
Assuming you have fixed the leak first -- you'll have your hands full fixing this -- but once dryed out -- and replaced if needed -- you'll know the job is done.
Good luck -- Pete (who has been through this before!)
