I just love love love this show!!
I don't agree with the assessment that living is a habit, though.
The brain is an enormously complicated organ. It supports billions of
thoughts. Most of these thoughts fly below the radar of consciousness.
Our psyche is ruled by the strongest thought or more likely the strongest
alliance of thoughts.
So, even when life is miserable and unbearable beyond words, most of
us keep living because the strongest alliance of thoughts includes the
primitive survival instinct thought.
The best for our psyche is for wisdom to rule and finally bring intellectual
thoughts and physical thoughts into balance, but wisdom comes last of all
human development. First comes physical development. Then comes
intellectual development. Last comes real and substantive spiritual
development, which is called wisdom. Most people never get to this last
stage of development, I'm afraid.
cheers
Jae
