I love my SAAB

Couple days ago -
Returning from a 4-day backcountry ski trip, man those seatwarmers felt good! 6" of new snow on an already snowpacked steep curvy dirt road. My friends were in an Isuzu Rodeo with all seasons. We noted that it would be a good idea to stay together on the way out. In my 900s with 4 snows, driving pretty conservatively 20-30 mph (except for occassional left foot braking practice), I left them in the dust! I was easily cruising around turns in unplowed snow, while they were proceeding very slowly without much confindence. I didn't even think I was going fast until I noticed that they were no where in site in the rearview!
These cars kick but in snow! Then, onto the highway where chain laws were in effect for trucks. Heavy crosswinds, blowing snow, snowpacked and icy in many spots.... Smoooth sailing again, cruising comfortably and safely at 50-60. Feels so much more connected to the road than our Volvo 850 (but holds its own in snow), and so much more stable and agile than any SUV.
Happy Saabing, and happy new year!
Brian
